Apple Health

Todays can sync with Apple Health to show your health metrics in your entries.

Health metric integration is a premium feature. To use Apple Health sync:

  • You must be a premium subscriber
  • The feature is available on iOS devices only (not available on Mac)

Adding Health Metrics

Available Health Metrics

When subscribed, you can sync with these Apple Health metrics:

  • 👟 Steps: Total steps taken in a day
  • 🔥 Movement: Active calories burned
  • 🏋️ Exercise: Minutes of exercise
  • ❤️ Heart Rate: Average resting heart rate
  • 💧 Water: Water consumption in liters
  • Caffeine: Caffeine intake in mg
  • 🛏️ Sleep: Hours of sleep
  • 🧘 Meditation: Minutes spent in mindfulness
  • ☀️ Daylight: Minutes spent in sunlight
  • ⚖️ Weight: Body weight (shows in lbs/kg/stone based on your locale)

Adding a Health Metric

  1. Open the Metrics screen
  2. Look for the “Sync from Apple Health” section
  3. Click the ”+” button next to the health metric you want to track
  4. If this is your first time adding the metric:
    • You’ll be prompted to authorize access to that type of health data
    • Grant the necessary permissions when asked
  5. The metric will be added to your tracking list
  6. Optionally, you can:
    • Toggle “Show on Home Screen” to make it a favorite
    • Enable “Share with AI” to include this data in AI insights

Data Privacy and Security

  • The app never stores your Apple Health data
  • Health data is displayed only when available on your devices
  • By default, health metrics are not shared with AI features
  • You can enable/disable AI sharing for each metric individually

Managing Health Metrics

After adding a health metric:

  • The data syncs automatically from Apple Health
  • You can tap the heart badge (❤️) on any metric to open it directly in the Apple Health app to view more details.
  • You can remove a health metric at any time by deleting it from your metrics list

Troubleshooting

If a health metric shows “No access” or ”—”:

  1. Look for the “Re-Authorize” button next to the metric
  2. Tap it to request permissions again
  3. Make sure you’ve granted the necessary permissions in your device’s Settings app
